What is a TOG?
TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade and is a unit of measurement for insulation and warmth of sleepwear and bedding. The lower the TOG rating, the lighter the fabric; the higher the rating, the more padded and insulated it is.

What is a Layer?
Layers are the sleep essential designed to be worn under your baby's swaddle or sleeping bag, as part of our TOG-rated What to Wear sleep system. Made from a deliciously soft, stretchy organic jersey cotton, Layers can be worn as either the base layer (closest layer to baby's skin), a mid layer with a singlet or bodysuit underneath, or as daywear too!
Made from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton that is non-toxic and gentle on irritable skin. All ergoPouch fabrics are dyed with non-toxic water based dyes. ergoPouch Layers & Pyjamas are reviewed by the Eczema Association of Australasia (EAA) as a skin-friendly product.

When cared for properly, this product will last several years and can be used for more than one baby. Our TOGs don't lose their warmth ratings over time, but a gentle fluff up in the dryer on a low setting helps maintain the fibre's loft, allowing air to circulate more effectively.

Slim-Fit Design
Our Layers are designed for comfort and warmth. The slim-fit prevents bunching underneath your child's pouch, and the breathable, natural fibres help regulate body temperature and prevent overheating.
3-way Zip
The unique 3-way zip system has been designed for performance during sleep. By locating the zips down the body's midline, our Layers can help prevent overnight nappy leaks by holding the nappy in place, and prevent the layer from twisting. The zip system also makes for easy nappy changes and dressing.
